Aman is set to open the ‘most expensive’ hotel in Dubai, an all-suite property on a prime slice of Jumeirah Beach. Olivia Palamountain reports

With 35 hotels already in its portfolio, the Aman Dubai will mark the ultra-luxury brand’s debut in the Middle East, bringing its refined hospitality and polished service to the region.

Currently in the development phase, the Aman Dubai will occupy a prestigious shoreline setting with an expansive private beach on Jumeirah Beach.Aman DubaiThe property will encompass an all-suite hotel, a limited number of Aman branded residences, an extensive Aman Spa spanning over 2,000 sqm, several choices of restaurants and an Aman Club.

Rates to stay at Aman Dubai have yet to be revealed, but, as reported by Arabian Business, the company’s chief executive Vlad Doronin has confirmed that it’s set to become the “most expensive hotel in Dubai”. (Stays at the New York hotel exceed US$1,500 per night.)

Designed by KHA (Kerry Hill Architects), Aman Dubai will showcase the brand’s signature minimal and contemporary design aesthetic, making use of natural materials and clean lines to frame the cityscape and waterfront views.

The design draws inspiration from the region’s architectural and cultural heritage, featuring local stone in a palette of desert tones and connecting subterranean spaces and courtyards to extensive sublime gardens that descend to the beach and extend to private living spaces.

Doronin says: “Dubai stands as a global city, leading the charge in dynamic evolution, offering an array of experiences for both visitors and residents alike. Responding to the requests from Aman guests for our presence in Dubai has long been part of my growth vision. Securing the optimal site was paramount to ensure the delivery of our unparallelled service and authentic experiences, for which we are world-renowned.”

Meanwhile, Shahab Lutfi, chief executive of the project’s owner, Bright Start, says: “We are thrilled to bring the first Aman to Dubai. Aman is a leading lifestyle brand inspired by providing a seamless level of service and experience that is known worldwide. The brand’s vision aligns with our strategy to bring exceptional experiences to the city.”

While opening dates have yet to be confirmed, Aman’s entry into Dubai underscores the brand’s commitment to expanding its portfolio and bringing its next-level luxury hospitality experience to travellers and residents in key global cities.
