Le Bristol Paris has transformed one of the city's largest luxury suites into a living art gallery featuring exclusive works by American artist George Condo, who used the 320sqm space as his personal residence and studio for more than two decades.

The Imperial Suite renovation represents an unprecedented collaboration between the legendary Parisian hotel and Condo, known for his emotionally charged works and close ties to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The artist has called Le Bristol Paris his "Parisian apartment" for more than twenty years, painting to music into the early hours and leaving behind original canvases.

The suite now showcases exclusive works created by Condo specifically for the space, including "The Dark Lady in Red," which he describes as his personal favourite and serves as a focal point of the accommodation. A connecting bedroom has been transformed into Condo's personal in-suite studio, complete with easel, paints and creative materials - an unprecedented feature in luxury hospitality.Le Bristol Paris – Suite Impériale Le Bristol Paris – Suite Impériale "Order truffled scrambled eggs for breakfast, with a glass of Champagne," says Condo. "And don't forget to enjoy the view."

The Imperial Suite is available from €35,000 (approximately £29,491) per night, positioning it among the most expensive hotel accommodations globally. The pricing reflects both the suite's substantial size - among the largest in Paris - and its unique status as a functioning art collection and artist's workspace.Le Bristol Paris – Suite Impériale
The renovation, curated by Narcisa and Elvira Oetker with interior architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, incorporates bespoke elements including a solid gold door handle designed by Condo himself in the shape of "Uncle Joe." Other unique features include Guatemala green marble at the entrance, custom Zephyr-green silk curtains and De Gournay hand-painted wallpaper extended to match the bespoke curtains. The suite functions as both luxury accommodation and private museum, featuring rare pieces by artists including Chagall, Giacometti, and Jean Cocteau from the Oetker family collection. Additional commissioned pieces include a vintage Fornasetti "Leopardo" marquetry chest sourced from New York, bronze pedestal and lacquer tables crafted by French artisans, and a hand-tufted rug by designer Marguerite Le Maire.Le Bristol Paris – Suite Impériale
The transformation coincides with Le Bristol Paris's 100th anniversary celebrations. The suite represents what the hotel describes as a space "suspended between past and present, between the intimacy of a private apartment and the grandeur of a gallery."
