Pelorus Yachting, renowned specialists in adventure charters and expeditions, has announced an extraordinary addition to its fleet.
The 50m Hermes, the first ultra-luxury catamaran in the Galapagos Islands, is scheduled to launch in April 2025. Upon its debut, it will be the largest ultra-luxury catamaran for charter globally.
Currently under construction, this family-owned expedition yacht accommodate up to 20 guests in 12 lavishly appointed cabins, each featuring a walk-in wardrobe, mini bar, and spacious living area.In an unheard of move for the region, each suite will host a private jacuzzi and balcony, offering excellent views of the archipelago.
Modern relaxation spaces provide ideal settings for socialising, while a range of wellness experiences, including a Hammam and massages using biodegradable ingredients, cater to guests’ wellbeing. Life aboard Hermes aims to combine the intimacy of a small expedition vessel with the amenities of a larger ship. With a crew-to-guest ratio of nearly 1:1, including butler service, the yacht promises an unparalleled level of personalised attention. Two expert naturalist guides will be on board to lead immersive excursions, with the option to welcome a scientist for on-the-ground research.
Activities will range from Ecuadorian cooking demonstrations to hiking and watersports such as snorkelling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding. In line with Pelorus’ commitment to conservation, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a reforestation programme in Santa Cruz, overseen by the ship’s owners, allowing them to leave a positive environmental impact.Expertly designed especially for the Galápagos’ waters, Hermes offers the flexibility to explore the archipelago’s most remote and lesser-explored islands.
Pelorus Yachting is now accepting charter enquiries for 2025, with prices starting from US$246,905 per week. This all-inclusive rate covers meals, selected beverages, excursions, park fees, and use of onboard facilities and equipment.
