Orient Express Corinthian, the world's largest sailing yacht, is now open for reservations ahead of its debut Mediterranean season in summer 2026. Olivia Palamountain reports

Bookings are now open for the Orient Express Corinthian's first sailing season, running from May to October 2026 across the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas.

The 54-suite yacht will offer voyages ranging from two to eight nights, with options to combine shorter trips into extended experiences.

The launch comes as luxury cruise operators increasingly focus on smaller, more exclusive vessels targeting affluent travellers seeking personalised experiences over mass-market cruising. Orient Express Corinthian will call at 35 ports, including established luxury destinations such as Monte-Carlo, Portofino, and Saint-Tropez, alongside lesser-known harbours including Portoferraio on Elba, Saint-Florent in Corsica, and Lerici in the Gulf of La Spezia.The vessel's itineraries are designed to coincide with major cultural events, including Venice during the Biennale and Mostra festivals, Saint-Tropez during Les Voiles regatta and Monaco during the yacht show.

Accommodation comprises 54 suites ranging from 45 to 230 sqm, with interiors designed by Maxime d'Angeac, Orient Express's artistic director. The yacht features multiple restaurants under the culinary direction of multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, alongside an Art Deco-inspired speakeasy.Additional facilities include a 115-seat cabaret, a recording studio, two pools and a marina. The yacht operates on an all-inclusive philosophy covering dining, beverages and port experiences.

Shore excursions form part of the package, including exclusive access to archaeological sites in Pompeii, private tours of the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice and driving experiences at Circuit Paul Ricard.The yacht represents Orient Express's expansion from rail travel into maritime luxury, following the brand's heritage of premium travel experiences.
