The Beach Samui has become the first and only resort in Asia to specialise in therapies enhanced by plant medicines, thanks to a new partnership with global cannabis brand Kanha.
The resort now offers an exclusive range of cannabis-enhanced treatments, setting a unique benchmark for luxury wellness tourism on Thailand’s Koh Samui island.
The partnership comes as Thailand’s wellness economy approaches £27.5 billion, with projections of 9.9% annual growth. With Kanha’s expertise, the resort is elevating its wellness offerings with bespoke therapies developed by a team of doctors and PhD chemists, aimed at ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficacy.
Guests can now indulge in a variety of cannabis-infused experiences, including immersive bathing rituals, sound healing, culinary adventures, guided meditation, vibrational therapies, IV infusions, breath work and fitness sessions. Each treatment is tailored by on-site licensed pharmacists to align with individual wellness goals and preferences.
The Beach Samui’s 21 colonial-style suites, designed by the visionaries behind luxury resorts such as Rosewood Amsterdam and The Peninsula London, provide a serene backdrop for these innovative treatments.Cameron Clarke, co-founder and CEO of Sunderstorm, Kanha’s parent company, says: “Wellness enthusiasts worldwide have been seeking a premium cannabis treatment experience in a resort setting. Our partnership with The Beach Samui fulfils this demand, offering unique experiences that allow travellers to enjoy cannabis while relaxing in a luxury resort on one of Asia’s finest islands.”To celebrate the launch, guests can enjoy substantial discounts on their stays using the code KANHA, with 30% off until the end of November and 10% off from December until August 2025.
This venture marks a significant step in the global acceptance and integration of cannabis-based therapies in high-end hospitality. Further examples of “cannabis tourism” include California’s Mine+Farm Inn and The Lexi in Las Vegas.
