Would you like to take a "set-jetting" trip to the Norwegian hotel featured in Succession and the movie Ex Machina?
Deep in the wilds of Norway lies the Juvet Landscape Hotel, an architectural masterpiece built by visionary hotelier Knut Slinning.
Juvet's owner Kristina Slinning and her team bring extensive experience hosting international executives and creative leaders, from film crews and Hollywood actors to C-suite teams.
Dates: October 20-23, 2025 (three nights)
The Luminaire co-founders Adam Sebba (CEO) and Nicholas Priest (CMO) will be joining our October 2025 retreat as guest speakers.
Prior to co-founding The Luminaire, Adam was the CEO of Cookson Adventures and ran the luxury fashion brand Antonio Berardi. He was also named one of the 50 "Most Influential People in British Luxury" in the Walpole Power List 2023.
Nicholas, meanwhile, has held senior leadership roles at four of the world’s leading travel and hospitality brands: Aman, Andre Balazs Properties, One&Only Resorts and NetJets Europe.
Our debut spring retreat was a huge success – we hosted professionals from companies including Kayak, Victor private jets, Beckley Retreats, Nemo Travel, Private Luxury Events, Global Hotel Alliance, Queer Edge and the Aerial BVI private island resort.
Charged with crisp mountain air, together we navigated the industry’s most pressing challenges and charted a course towards tomorrow’s Brave New World.
Jenny Southan, Globetrender editor, founder and CEO, says: “We believe that one conversation can change your life – or the direction of your business. But we need to be in an environment that invites us to shift from 'small talk' to 'deep talk'.”
Hands-on Workshops: Trend forecasting and future scenario planning in Juvet's light-filled conference cube.
Creative Catalysts: Observational drawing, riverside sauna and hot tub, and cold water plunges in the river.
Curated Conversations: Moderated Jeffersonian dinners for meaningful exchange.
Outdoor Micro-Adventures: Experience stunning Norwegian forests, waterfalls and rivers on scenic hikes. (Beginner level.)
Nordic Hospitality: Eat hyper-local Norwegian cuisine; drink locally made cider, gin and whisky; and enjoy fireside chats.
Purposeful Connections: Build relationships with peers in the travel industry and beyond.
Max Stott, content marketing manager, Victor private jets: "Spending four days at the Juvet Landscape Hotel with Globetrender was nothing short of extraordinary. The setting was breathtaking, but it was the depth of conversation, the quality of the networking, and the thoughtful insights that truly made it unforgettable. I came away with fresh perspectives and a renewed sense of energy for what’s next in the travel industry."
India Dowley, head of marketing, Nemo Travel: "This was one of the most thought-provoking industry events I’ve been to. The trend workshops offered genuinely new ideas I hadn’t heard before – not the usual stuff – which have already shifted how I think and approach my work. The setting was incredible and created the perfect environment for meaningful conversations and proper connection."
There are 7 Landscape Cabins; 2 Bird Houses (with beds accessible via ladder); and 2 bedrooms in the Writer's Lodge. All are single occupancy.

The smaller Bird Houses offer serenity and focus. The two-bedroom Writer's Lodge is a more social option with a shared living room, bathroom, kitchen and outdoor terrace.
