TikTok launches travel booking platform TikTok GO
TikTok GO will allow people in the US to discover and book hotels, attractions and tours directly within the TikTok app through partnerships with brands including Booking.com and Expedia.
TikTok has announced the launch of TikTok GO, a new in-app travel and experiences booking platform designed to turn travel inspiration into direct bookings.
Launching initially in the US, TikTok GO allows users to discover and reserve hotels, attractions, tours and local experiences without leaving the app. The feature integrates booking tools directly into TikTok’s videos, search results and location pages.
The platform has launched with partners including Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Trip.com.
TikTok says the new feature responds to growing demand from users who already rely on the platform for travel recommendations and destination inspiration. More than 200 million Americans use TikTok, with travel content becoming one of the platform’s fastest-growing categories.
Users browsing travel videos will now be able to view accommodation details, check availability and complete bookings within a few taps. TikTok GO is available only to users aged 18 and over.
Adam Presser, CEO of TikTok USDS Joint Venture, says: "Every day on TikTok, millions of people discover where to eat, where to stay, and what to do next. TikTok GO connects that moment of inspiration directly to the businesses behind it, and that’s good for creators, good for local businesses, and good for communities."

The move represents TikTok’s latest expansion into ecommerce and transaction-based services following the rollout of TikTok Shop. The company says TikTok GO is designed to shorten the gap between travel inspiration and purchase.
Mark van der Linden, vp partnerships at Booking.com, says: "We’re excited to collaborate with TikTok to turn those ‘I wish I were there’ moments into real stays with TikTok GO. By bringing Booking.com directly into the TikTok journey, travellers can move from discovering a dream accommodation in a video to securing their stay in just a few taps — making it easier than ever to turn inspiration into unforgettable experiences."
Johannes Reck, co-founder and CEO of GetYourGuide, says: "Our partnership with TikTok marks a major shift in how travel experiences are booked through TikTok GO – enabling travelers to move directly from discovery to a seamless booking."
He adds: "Experiences have become the primary reason people travel, not an afterthought. With TikTok GO, we're at the center of that transformation, right at the moment of inspiration."
TikTok GO also introduces new monetisation opportunities for creators. Influencers and travel content creators who feature hotels, attractions and experiences in their videos will be able to link content directly to bookings and potentially earn commissions through creator campaigns.
For tourism businesses and travel operators, the platform offers a way to reach audiences already engaging with destination content through TikTok’s recommendation algorithm and search ecosystem.
