Expedia and Beautiful Destinations announce advertising partnership
Expedia and Beautiful Destinations are teaming up; marrying the former’s booking infrastructure with the latter’s extensive reach and creative talent. The goal? Ad campaigns that drive conversion. Robbie Hodges reports
According to a recent survey conducted by Expedia Group, 61% of consumers say social media is their top influence for travel inspiration – trumping friends and family, booking websites and travel agents. Naturally, Expedia is building closer affiliations with leaders in the space; namely, with the travel content agency, Beautiful Destinations.
The new partnership, which was first announced in April 2025, will see Expedia Group Media Solutions’ in-house creative studio (E Studio) work with Beautiful Destinations to create a wide range of content from TikTok videos to Instagram reels, all of which will link through to Expedia Group brands.
E Studio specialises in travel advertising and marketing, helping partners to reach travellers and increase bookings through shoppable end-to-end advertising campaigns on a global scale. By marrying this vast digital infrastructure with the extensive creator network and global following of Beautiful Destinations (over 50 million social media followers), Expedia hopes to bolster what is already a highly compelling proposition for its brand partners.
Since the collaboration was announced, Expedia has also launched ‘Trip Matching’, a tool that enables Instagram users to extract itineraries, bookable services and travel tips from reels they’ve spotted on the platform. However, the commercial relationship with Beautiful Destinations will impact the advertising proposition across all Expedia Group brands, including Hotels.com and Vrbo.

The partnership is indicative of the broad shift towards video-based content; a shift that many legacy players in the travel industry have failed to act upon. Working together, the pair will help to populate Expedia Group’s social media output with highly engaging and visually arresting content.
