The Hoxton to debut in India with Bengaluru opening

May 11, 2026

Accor, Ennismore and InterGlobe Hotels are bringing The Hoxton to Bengaluru in 2026, introducing the lifestyle hotel brand’s neighbourhood-focused concept to India.

Ennismore, in partnership with Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels, has announced plans to open the first The Hoxton hotel in India. Scheduled to launch in November 2026, The Hoxton Bengaluru City will be located on Richmond Road in the centre of Bengaluru, a city widely recognised as India’s technology and innovation hub.

The signing marks another step in Ennismore’s expansion across India as lifestyle hospitality brands target the country’s growing market for design-led urban hotels. The Hoxton brand, which first launched in London’s Shoreditch district in 2006, is known for creating hotels that function as social spaces for both travellers and local residents.

The Hoxton Bengaluru City will feature 149 guestrooms across a range of categories including Roomy, Biggy and four HOMEY suites. Located on the top two floors of the building, the suites will measure 55 sqm and offer views across the city skyline.

According to the company, the interiors will combine residential-style design with local influences and handcrafted details. Rooms are intended to feel practical and informal, reflecting The Hoxton’s established approach in cities across Europe and the US.

Food and drink will play a central role in the property. On the ground floor, an all-day lobby restaurant and bar will act as a social hub for guests and local residents, serving breakfast, meetings, drinks and evening meals throughout the day.

The rooftop will house Fi’lia, the Italian restaurant concept already operating at other Ennismore properties. This will be Fi’lia’s second location in India and will include a poolside restaurant and bar overlooking Bengaluru.

The hotel will also include The Apartment, The Hoxton’s meetings and events concept designed for smaller gatherings and creative workshops. The space will include two meeting rooms and a shared pantry area, while a larger events venue will accommodate up to 240 people.

In keeping with The Hoxton’s wider brand identity, the Bengaluru property plans to collaborate with local artists, chefs, designers and musicians through rotating exhibitions, retail partnerships and cultural programming. These initiatives are intended to connect the hotel with Bengaluru’s creative industries and neighbourhood communities.

Gaurav Bhushan, Group CEO of Ennismore and chairman of Accor India, says: “India is one of the most exciting hospitality markets in the world right now. The market is ready for a true lifestyle experience, and our approach is simple: build brands that resonate with Indian guests first while maintaining the same global DNA our brands are known for.”

Aditya Pande, group chief executive officer of InterGlobe Enterprises, says: “The entry of The Hoxton into India marks a defining moment in our journey to bring world-class, lifestyle-led hospitality to the country. Bengaluru, with its creative energy and global outlook, is the ideal city for the brand... We are confident that The Hoxton, Bengaluru will resonate deeply with both locals and travellers, setting a new standard for urban hospitality in the country.”

The Bengaluru announcement also reflects the wider partnership between Accor and InterGlobe, which last year unveiled plans to create one of India’s fastest-growing hospitality platforms. The joint venture aims to grow its portfolio to 300 hotels across Accor and Ennismore brands by 2030 as international hotel companies compete for market share in India’s rapidly expanding travel sector.
