Our Habitas is jumping on the wellness tourism trend for experiential and nature-based transformation with the launch of its new "Breathe Wild" retreat at its Namibian property.
A collaboration between luxury eco-resort Our Habitas Namibia and breath work specialists BreathQ, will take place from October 18-24, 2025, with additional dates planned for 2026.
Set on a vast private wildlife reserve just 45 minutes from Windhoek airport, participants will stay in Our Habitas' signature eco-conscious tented accommodations, which are constructed from natural materials and decorated with locally made crafts. Internationally accredited breath work coaches Silke Hartmann and Sonja Wäger-Kuhn will lead the programme, which includes daily breath work sessions, sound healing and meditation. The retreat is designed to accommodate all experience levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
"At BreathQ, we believe that true transformation happens when we combine outer exploration with inner awakening," says Silke Hartmann, founder of BreathQ. "When practiced in a setting as awe-inspiring as Namibia, the experience becomes even more profound."
Each day will begin with optional sunrise yoga or meditation, followed by silent bush walks or game drives to view wildlife. Afternoons will feature breathwork or movement classes, while evenings conclude with restorative sessions before dining under the stars. The resort also offers immersive safari drives, local cultural activities including dances and drum circles, and the opportunity to learn survival skills from local San tribesmen, members of Africa's oldest indigenous communities.
The retreat package includes all meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients, airport transfers and a welcome gift. Prices start at US$4,800 per person for shared accommodation or US$6,100 for single occupancy.
