London's Savoy hotel has launched 'The Savoy Originals', a podcast series hosted by Alex Zane and featuring interviews with Rob Brydon, Dame Kelly Holmes and Gordon Ramsay. Olivia Palamountain reports

London's legendary Savoy hotel is breaking new ground in the luxury hospitality sector with the launch of its first-ever podcast series, "The Savoy Originals," featuring interviews with cultural icons and celebrities.

Set to debut on April 11, 2025, with weekly episodes sponsored by Champagne Laurent-Perrier, the podcast marks the first time a luxury hotel has ventured into the podcasting space.

The series will be hosted by entertainment presenter Alex Zane, who will interview guests from the comfort of The Savoy's luxury suites. The format aims to create an intimate setting for revelations about defining career moments from some of the UK's most recognisable personalities. The Savoy Podcast Guests confirmed for the eight-episode series include comedian and actor Rob Brydon, Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, chef Gordon Ramsay, singer Frankie Bridge, model Daisy Lowe, actor Daniel Mays, West End performer Layton Williams and comedian Nick Mohammed.

The first episode will feature Rob Brydon discussing his early career struggles in the entertainment industry, highlighting the persistence and support that led to his success. In the following week, Gordon Ramsay, who operates three restaurants at The Savoy, will share insights on staying ahead in the competitive culinary world.The Savoy PodcastThe podcast initiative aligns with The Savoy's history of innovation. The 135-year-old establishment was London's first luxury hotel and has long been associated with pioneering hospitality concepts and attracting celebrity clientele.

Laurent-Perrier, the podcast's sponsor, shares a similar heritage of innovation in the champagne industry. Founded in 1812, the champagne house recently received a Royal Warrant from King Charles III, recognising its status as a purveyor to the Royal Household.The Savoy Podcast"The Savoy Originals" will be available on all major podcast platforms from April 11, with new episodes released weekly.
