W Hotels has unveiled a new documentary-style series featuring celebrities and artists sharing their unique experiences at properties across the global hotel chain.
The series, titled Hotel Tales, features award-winning actor Chloë Sevigny, comedian Ziwe, and multidisciplinary artist Miranda Makaroff recounting memorable moments from their stays at various W Hotels locations.
Written by Pat Regan, known for his work on television series Hacks, the campaign captures what the brand calls "the untold stories and epic moments that can happen only at W Hotels." Sevigny's episode, filmed at the recently reimagined W New York - Union Square flagship, follows her preparation for a new role with help from hotel staff who curate a collection of 1990s items. "I have such fond memories of visiting W New York – Union Square back in the early aughts, and it's been so much fun and nostalgic to return back, but with a fresh modern twist at the reimagined hotel," says Sevigny.
The series includes Makaroff's unexpected romantic encounter over room service at W Hollywood, while Ziwe documents her "cowgirl era" during a night out from W Nashville.
"At W Hotels, we see our spaces as dynamic canvases where self-expression takes centre stage and authentic stories unfold," says George Fleck, senior vice president and global brand leader, W Hotels. "Our role is to capture and amplify these bold, unfiltered moments — the kind that reflect the energy and individuality of our guests and talent alike."
The series marks a new chapter for W Hotels, which launched in New York City in 1998 and now operates nearly 70 properties worldwide. Additional episodes are planned for early 2025.
"Crafting the W Hotels brand series has been an incredible journey," says writer Regan. "W Hotels celebrates individuality and lets guests be their truest selves – or their alter ego - to create stories worth telling."
The series can be viewed on W Hotels' Instagram and TikTok channels.
