The Windsor by Heathrow is the airport's upgraded VIP terminal, now featuring Banksy artwork available to purchase, Michelin-star dining and electric BMW transfers. Olivia Palamountain reports

Heathrow Airport has transformed its exclusive VIP terminal in a three million pound renovation, the first phase of a three-year refurbishment features upgraded lounges, a redesigned atrium and specially curated artwork.

The newly named Windsor by Heathrow, photographed by Rankin, features eight private lounges and an entrance lobby designed by Oliver Burns Studio.

The service, priced from £3,812 for up to three guests, showcases British craftsmanship with Axminster carpets and Tom Dixon collaborations, plus luxury British brands including Commune toiletries and August&Piers fragrances.The Windsor; Heathrow's VIP terminalThe Windsor; Heathrow's VIP terminalIt also doubles as a rotating art gallery with pieces by David Hockney, Tracey Emin and Francis Bacon available to purchase via QR codes.

The Windsor's door-to-plane service operates with an all-electric BMW fleet, offering the only airport service authorised to collect and drop off clients directly at their aircraft.

Operating 16 hours daily to accommodate global travellers, the chauffeur service collects guests from their homes and drives them straight to their plane, bypassing traditional terminal routes.The Windsor; Heathrow's VIP terminal
This unique authorisation for planeside access provides an unmatched level of convenience and privacy for the terminal's high-profile guests, from world leaders to A-list celebrities.

The service, which launched in the 1960s initially for diplomats and royalty, now handles 50,000 guests annually from Heathrow's 83.9 million passengers.The Windsor; Heathrow's VIP terminalFeatures include private security and immigration, personal shopping at Terminal 5, and dedicated Border Force officers ensuring no queues on arrival. Popular routes serve Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, Los Angeles and New York.
