Nômade Tulum is inviting creatives to apply for creator-in-residence status, exchanging bed and board for ideas and art. Olivia Palamountain reports

The Nômade Tulum Content Creator Residency Program at Nômade Tulum offers content creators an opportunity to create artwork in Tulum.

Located at the southern tip of Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Nômade Tulum  will host the inaugural residency throughout October with additional creator residencies happening in 2025.

The content creator selected for the residency will be offered roundtrip flights from the US or Mexico, accommodation in one of the property’s suites, access to wellness programs and meals prepared with fresh local ingredients. Nômade Tulum Building on Nômade Tulum’s philosophy of connection with oneself as well as others, the residency encourages self-led projects and provides a supportive environment for creative growth.

The selected resident will have the chance to engage in talks, workshops, and events designed to foster interaction and exchange of ideas among artists and the local community.Nômade Tulum Nômade Tulum During each residency the chosen artist will be invited to leave a piece of their work created at Nômade Tulum to be displayed throughout the property, creating a living gallery that reflects the diverse talents and experiences of Nômade Tulum’s residents.

 This experience is inspired by Día de los Muertos, a revered Mexican tradition that honours and remembers departed loved ones, guiding the Nômade community in exploring how lineage influences identity. Nômade Tulum Aspiring creatives from all creative disciplines (visual artists, photographers, illustrators, ceramicists, designers, filmmakers, writers, musicians, dancers, and performance artists) are encouraged to apply to the Nômade Tulum Content Creator Residency program via the online application form, which requests examples of work, a CV and details on what the applicant hopes to achieve during the residency.Nômade Tulum The deadline to submit all documents is September 30, 2024.
