The Mine + Farm Inn grows its own weed to share with guests and to supply its unique cannabis-themed retreats. Olivia Palamountain reports
A historic property in California’s Russian River Valley, has been given a new lease of life as the Mine + Farm Inn, a bed and breakfast with an on-site cannabis farm.
Suzanne Szostak and Bryce Skolfield have transformed the main farmhouse and an adjacent carriage house into a nine-bedroom guesthouse with indoor and outdoor common areas.

The playfully-designed spaces are stocked with useful and fun guest amenities, including fire pits, a hot tub, river towels and a variety of games.What sets the Mine + Farm Inn apart is its al fresco cultivation of organic cannabis on the 2.5-acre property, which is shared with guests in designated outdoor smoking areas.
Rooms cost US$700 per person or US$1,380 per pair in a Queen Room or US$800 per person or US$1,580 per pair in a King Room.
The Inn also offers private cannabis-infused dining experiences getaway packages, such as the Cannescape One Night Elevated Retreat.
This one-of-a-kind escape, held in November, featured a range of cannabis-infused culinary delights and activities including a cannabis + yoga class led by Madeline Berry.Guests enjoyed a welcome CBD and cannabis cocktail happy hour with made-to-order pizzas, a two-course breakfast featuring coffee by Landrace Origins, a tour of Mine + Farm’s organic cannabis garden and a six-course dinner with beverage pairings by Chopped 420 Champion and fine dining chef, Solomon Johnson.
Szostak and Skolfield’s vision for the Mine + Farm Inn is to curate a stay that leaves guests nourished and inspired, with a deeper appreciation for the bounty of the area.
By reimagining and refreshing the bed and breakfast concept, they have created a space that celebrates the rich history of the ranch while offering a unique and immersive experience for cannabis enthusiasts and curious travellers alike.
