Wilde aparthotels open in Amsterdam and Porto
Boutique lifestyle aparthotel brand Wilde is opening new properties in Porto and Amsterdam as demand grows for longer, more flexible city stays.
Wilde is continuing its European expansion this summer with the opening of two new aparthotel properties in Porto and Amsterdam. The launches follow new openings in Vienna and Lisbon earlier this year and reflect growing demand for accommodation that combines hotel services with the flexibility of self-contained apartments.
The Wilde aparthotel brand is designed for travellers staying anything from a few nights to several weeks. Apartments include fully equipped kitchens with appliances such as Nespresso coffee machines and Smeg kettles, alongside rainfall showers, smart climate control and Hypnos mattresses. Families can also request cots, high chairs and other child-friendly equipment.
Each Wilde property is designed to reflect its local neighbourhood through collaborations with regional artists and makers. The brand's Oscar's food and drink concept is intended to attract both guests and local residents, while in-house shops stock products sourced from nearby suppliers.

Wilde Porto opens on July 10 in the Clérigos district, close to Igreja do Carmo and within walking distance of São Bento railway station. The property occupies a row of restored townhouses and offers 78 studios and apartments for up to four guests.
Portugal's second-largest city has become increasingly popular with digital nomads and leisure travellers thanks to its historic centre, creative industries and food and drink scene. Wilde Porto is located in an area known for independent cafés, galleries, boutiques and nightlife.
The interiors, designed by Stephanie Barba Mendoza, draw on traditional Portuguese craftsmanship and Porto's maritime heritage. Local ceramic studio New Terracotta created hand-painted tile murals for the café and bathrooms, while British artist Anna Glover designed bespoke wallpaper. Furniture and lighting have also been commissioned from local craftspeople.
Oscar's at Wilde Porto serves speciality coffee alongside Portuguese favourites including pastéis de nata and prego steak sandwiches, as well as wines from the Porto region. The hotel has also partnered with neighbourhood bakery Royale Pão Paixão to supply artisan bread and pastries.

A rooftop venue, O's Above, overlooks the city's skyline and serves cocktails, local wines and sharing platters featuring regional ingredients including octopus, salt cod and rojões. At street level, O's Below operates as a café during the day before becoming a late-night bar. The property also offers co-working areas, laundry facilities, dog-friendly apartments and a 24-hour reception.
The second opening is Wilde Amsterdam, which welcomes guests from September 30 in Amsterdam Noord. Overlooking the IJ River, the property forms part of the new Yvie residential development and offers 120 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
Unlike other Wilde locations, Wilde Amsterdam has been designed specifically for extended stays and is available for bookings of seven nights or more. The company says the property is aimed at people relocating, combining business with leisure or spending longer periods exploring the city.
Amsterdam Noord has evolved from an industrial district into one of the city's creative neighbourhoods. The property is around 15 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal Station by ferry and public transport, while Schiphol Airport is approximately 35 minutes away.

Stephanie Barba Mendoza has also designed the interiors here, using leather, timber, marble, lacquer and brass finishes alongside custom-made furniture. Dutch artist Lisette van Hoogenhuyze created a large hand-painted mural and bespoke lampshades for the lobby.
Oscar's Amsterdam will serve coffee, local beers, wines, cocktails and dishes inspired by Amsterdam's traditional food culture throughout the day. A riverside terrace provides additional outdoor seating, while guests also have access to fitness facilities, co-working spaces, dog-friendly accommodation and a 24-hour reception.
Commenting on the expansion, the company says the new openings reinforce Wilde's commitment to creating accommodation rooted in local neighbourhoods while combining apartment-style flexibility with boutique hotel services. Following launches in Lisbon, Vienna, Porto and Amsterdam, the brand continues to grow its presence across major European cities.
