The July is a hybrid accommodation concept combining apartment living with hotel amenities that is set to open in London in 2025. Olivia Palamountain reports
The July will offer 116 apartments aimed at both short and long-term stays when it makes its international debut in London in July, 2025.
Located at 282 Vauxhall Bridge Road, just five minutes from Victoria's transport hub, the property will feature 114 serviced apartments and two residential units, alongside a wellness centre with a gym, sauna and cold room, flexible workspace, and meeting facilities. A seasonal restaurant and bar will operate until 10.30pm with details to be announced in early 2025.
"The way we work and travel is changing. The lines between business and leisure travel or the office and home, are becoming more blurred than ever," says Simika Nayyar, marketing director at The July. "The July embraces these evolving lifestyles by creating flexible spaces where you can seamlessly switch between focused work, city exploration, and relaxation."
Each apartment will include a fully equipped kitchen while maintaining hotel services such as housekeeping. Additional amenities include laundry, grocery, and flower services, with stays available from one night to a year.
The interior design draws inspiration from art deco, reflecting Victoria's theatrical heritage. The development will be BREEAM certified, emphasising environmental sustainability.
The July introduces an innovative "neighbourhood key" concept, offering local residents exclusive access to events, hotel deals across their portfolio, and seasonal discounts at the property's dining venues. This community-focused approach has proved successful at their Amsterdam location.
The location provides easy access to London's theatreland, Buckingham Palace, and Victoria's growing dining scene. The company has already announced plans for further European expansion, with locations slated in Dublin and Lisbon.
