WeWork and Bureau launch airport workspace pods

May 7, 2026

WeWork is partnering with soundproof workspace company Bureau to introduce private bookable work pods for airports, convention centres and public spaces worldwide.

WeWork is expanding beyond traditional offices with the launch of WeWork Go, a new network of premium workspace pods designed for airports, convention centres, hotels and other public spaces.

Launching globally in 2026, the product has been developed in partnership with Bureau, a company specialising in soundproof modular workspaces.

The announcement reflects the growing demand for flexible work environments as hybrid working and business travel continue to reshape professional routines. Rather than treating work as something tied to a fixed office, WeWork Go is designed for travellers and remote workers needing quiet, private space while in transit.

The pods are intended for use in locations where taking calls or concentrating can be difficult, including airport terminals, hotel lobbies and busy conference venues. Bureau acted as manufacturing and materials partner for the project, developing three workspace formats for WeWork Go. These include a single-user pod for focused work, a four-person collaboration space and an ADA-compatible unit designed for accessibility.

Each pod includes soundproofing, architectural-grade framing, curated lighting, ergonomic seating and eco-friendly materials.

Adam Morgan, co-founder of Bureau, says: “The old assumption about workspaces was that work happens in one place, at one desk, in one building. WeWork has understood before most that this just isn't how people work anymore. Work happens in the gaps. In the loud places. On the move.

“WeWork Go is designed to meet people in those moments and give them a genuinely excellent solution. That's the same challenge Bureau takes on every day. We believe the workspace around you shapes what you're capable of, and that belief doesn't stop at the office door.”

Bureau describes the concept as “Elastic Space”, meaning workspace that adapts to people rather than remaining tied to a permanent office location.

In March 2026, Bureau became the first soundproof booth company to receive the “Works with WELL” trademark licence from the International WELL Building Institute. The certification confirms the company’s products meet standards relating to air quality, chemical safety and VOC emissions under the WELL Building Standard.

WeWork Go officially debuts this week at the 2026 Annual Convening of Semafor World Economy in Washington DC before rolling out more widely through WeWork’s membership ecosystem.

The move signals how workspace providers are increasingly targeting the travel sector as mobile working habits continue to blur the boundaries between offices, hotels, airports and public infrastructure.
