Le Particulier Miami is the latest boutique hotel to hit Miami Beach, housed within one of the area’s most storied Art Deco landmarks.

Once the Ocean Spray Hotel, the 1936 building has been restored and reimagined as a French-inspired retreat that captures the glamour and playful sophistication of 1980s Miami.

With its seven-storey concrete frame, geometric façades, fluted pilasters and signature horizontal banding, the property stands as both a celebration of the city’s architectural heritage and a bold reinterpretation of its golden era.Le Particulier MiamiLe Particulier Miami preserves these classic features while introducing a fresh design narrative. Across its 54 rooms, a palette of mint green, flamingo pink, ocean blue and vintage cream pays homage to Miami’s cinematic colour story. Interiors combine original terrazzo floors and tropical-print wallpapers with rattan and oak furnishings, velvet accents and brass finishes.

The pastel exterior – painted in soft shades of yellow and lavender – completes the revival of the building’s original Art Deco spirit through an unmistakably 1980s lens.

“Our vision was never to recreate the past, but to channel it,” says founder Yves Naman. “This building still holds Miami Beach’s original optimism – we’re restoring that spirit while inviting a new generation to experience it. The golden Art Deco era isn’t nostalgia; it’s energy, reborn for today’s traveller.”The hotel’s dining concept, Los Bowls de Guadalupe, brings a taste of Tulum’s wellness culture to Miami. Opening November 15, the vegan-forward restaurant serves organic smoothie bowls, poke, and plant-based dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

The space is conceived as a tropical sanctuary where mindful eating meets coastal vibrancy, setting the tone for the forthcoming rooftop lounge – a venue designed for art, music and social gatherings in the sultry spirit of Miami nights.

Located between the Faena Arts District and Millionaires’ Row, it sits within walking distance of The Bass Museum of Art and the Miami Beach Convention Center. The hotel encourages guests to engage with the city’s creative pulse through curated events and artistic collaborations that reflect its architectural lineage.

Rates at Le Particulier Miami start from US$170 per night.
