Located in the vibrant Haut Marais district, the five-star Hotel Experimental Marais is Experimental Group's flagship property and its third hotel in the French capital.

The 43-room hotel has been born under the creative vision of acclaimed interior designer Tristan Auer, whose portfolio includes prestigious projects such as Hôtel de Crillon, Les Bains and Hôtel du Louvre.

Auer has designed what is described as a "neo-Gothic masterpiece" inspired by the Marais district's rich history and cultural heritage. The hotel features grand arches, stained glass windows, bold architectural lines, and intimate spaces throughout.  
For his design concept, Auer envisioned a fictional character of a curious and adventurous traveller – an aesthete and epicurean who explores the world while savouring every moment.

 This theme is particularly evident in the hotel's restaurant, which is decorated with the imaginary traveller's collection of drawings and photographs, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and exotic. The space features a warm palette of brown tones, with artistic direction by Clovis Retif.

The hotel's restaurant, Temple & Chapon, draws inspiration from classic New York chophouses of the 1950s. Set in a cathedral-like space with a glass ceiling, the 100-seat venue will offer a menu crafted by acclaimed French chef Mélanie Serre, whose experience includes working with Joël Robuchon and at establishments such as Louis Vins and L'Auberge du Bassin.
Guests can expect premium cuts of beef (porterhouse, T-bone), expertly grilled seafood (Rockefeller oysters, crab cakes), and generous sharing platters.

"For our new restaurant Temple & Chapon, we want to combine the demands and ambition of a young French Chef with the energy and glamour of a New York table, in unprecedented volumes for a restaurant in the Marais district, we are happy to entrust the reins to Mélanie Serre," says Olivier Bon, co-founder of Experimental.
The hotel's American Bar, accessible via a grand staircase, pays homage to Experimental's origins and draws inspiration from legendary New York cocktail institutions like Please Don't Tell, Attaboy and the Raines Law Room. Guests can enjoy the brand's signature cocktails, including the Benton's Old Fashioned and the Quetzal, alongside wines from California and Oregon.

Hotel Experimental Marais will also feature a spa in collaboration with natural skincare brand Susanne Kaufmann, offering facial treatments and tailored massages alongside an indoor swimming pool.Founded by four French visionaries, Experimental began in Paris with a cocktail bar that redefined the city's nightlife before expanding globally. The group has earned acclaim as pioneers of innovative hospitality and for establishing a new standard in luxury experiences.

Hotel Experimental Marais is scheduled to open in March 2025, with rates starting from €470 per night including breakfast.
