Netflix House invites fans to 'step into the story'
Netflix has announced plans to open Netflix House, a series of permanent entertainment venues that bring popular shows and films to life through interactive experiences, dining and retail. Olivia Palamountain reports
Building on the success of previous pop-up experiences, the new Netflix House experiential entertainment destinations promise to create immersive worlds where fans can physically step into their favourite Netflix stories.
The streaming giant will launch two locations in 2025 - at King of Prussia in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas - each occupying more than 100,000 square feet of former department store space.
“At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste — literally — of your favourite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings,” says Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer. “We’ve launched more than 50 experiences in 25 cities, and Netflix House represents the next generation of our distinctive offerings. The venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new, ever-changing, and unexpected ways.”
The venues will feature interactive experiences inspired by shows such as Bridgerton and Squid Game, alongside restaurants serving Netflix show-inspired cuisine and retail spaces selling official merchandise. The exterior will showcase sculptures and murals featuring characters from Netflix productions.
The locations were chosen for their high foot traffic and proximity to major cities, building on Netflix's previous success with temporary experiential attractions for shows including Money Heist and Stranger Things.
The company has launched a dedicated Netflix House website, where fans can find updates and information ahead of the 2025 openings.
