Knives Out-inspired murder mystery dinner to open in London
The Perfect Bite is an immersive 'whodunnit' dinner experience at London's Gaucho restaurant, inspired by the Netflix film series Knives Out. Olivia Palamountain reports
A unique immersive murder mystery dining experience based on Netflix's hit film series Knives Out is set to launch in London this summer.
"The Perfect Bite" will invite guests to enjoy a four-course meal at Gaucho in the City of London while simultaneously unravelling a murder case that unfolds around them during dinner.
Led by chef Maribelle Moore, who has created a bespoke menu for the event, diners will be introduced to the "Salty Six" - a foodie group that formed during their student years. As tensions rise throughout the evening, a murderer strikes, and guests must help Logan Lock, a colleague of the films' protagonist Detective Benoit Blanc, solve the crime. 
Hidden within each course will be clues for diners to decipher, revealing a hidden message concealed in plain sight.
The concept draws inspiration from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the second instalment in the film series, which features a murder taking place during a tech billionaire's exclusive getaway on a private Greek island.
Created by Secret City, a digital and location-based design studio specialising in immersive storytelling, in collaboration with Netflix, the experience has already sold out its run in Canada before making its way to the UK.
The London edition launches on June 5, 2025 for a limited run. Performances will run from Wednesday to Friday at 7pm, with additional Saturday sessions at 1pm and 6pm.
