A new book, 100 Nights of a Lifetime: The World's Ultimate Adventures After Dark (£35) captures the growing dark sky tourism phenomenon, showcasing 100 nighttime experiences across 60 countries, from swimming with manta rays in Hawaii to exploring glow worm caves in New Zealand.

Published on December 3, 2024, and written by Stephanie Vermillion, highlights of the national Geographic guide include moonlit hikes through Utah's Arches National Park, aurora hunting in Norway's Svalbard and witnessing Singapore's illuminated Supertree Grove.

Booking.com has identified "noctourism" as a key 2025 trend, reflecting growing interest in experiences beyond traditional stargazing and aurora viewing. The movement encompasses everything from midnight markets to bioluminescent kayaking in Puerto Rico.
