Hybrid hospitality brand The Social Hub is set to strengthen its European presence with three significant openings, including its first venture into Portugal and two new Italian locations. Olivia Palamountain reports

The Social Hub is set to expand across Europe with three major openings in 2025, launching in Porto, Rome and Florence with innovative spaces combining hotels, co-working and student accommodation.

The B Corp certified hospitality brand will launch The Social Hub Belfiore in Florence in February, 2025, featuring a remarkable 7,000-square-metre rooftop public park and Olympic-length pool.

The 550-room development includes co-working space for 600 people, alongside restaurants, bars, and a commercial avenue supporting local businesses.The Social Hub The Social Hub March 2025 sees the opening of their 392-room Rome property in the San Lorenzo district, designed as "a city within a city". The 24,000-square-metre development incorporates three main structures, including a refurbished former railway customs house, and offers a rooftop bar with views across the Eternal City. A massive public park connects the spaces.The Social HubThe Social HubThe brand's Portuguese debut arrives in spring 2025 with The Social Hub Porto. Located in Bonjardim near Avenida dos Aliados, the 310-room development introduces a new concept: 39 fully equipped residential apartments for long-term stays. The property includes a rooftop pool, media studio, and extensive meeting facilities.

"These developments represent landmark expansion for The Social Hub brand," says Marion Koopman, chief operations & commercial officer. The openings will bring their portfolio to 21 locations across 19 European cities, with each hub combining hotel accommodation, student housing, and coworking spaces under one roof.The Social HubThe Social HubThe company emphasises community engagement, having hosted over 5,500 events reaching 100,000 people last year. They dedicate 1% of global revenues to their TSH Talent Foundation, supporting international scholars through accommodation and life-skills programmes.
