The Bahamas is set to welcome a new frontier in private island luxury living with the launch of Rosewood Exuma, a resort spread over the 124-acre East Sampson Cay within the Exumas archipelago.
Slated to open in 2028, the Rosewood resort will feature just 33 suites, each offering views of the island’s pink and white sands and turquoise waters.
Many of the suites will be situated directly on the beach, providing guests with direct access to the Caribbean Sea.
Expect diverse amenities, including six unique food and beverage outlets showcasing local delicacies and ingredients grown in the resort’s organic garden.
Rosewood’s signature Asaya wellness concept will be brought to life in a 20,000 square foot sanctuary, featuring six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, an outdoor tranquil pool, and a fitness centre.
A highlight of the development will be a fully serviced beach club with a grill restaurant, beach and pool bars, and a private dining room.
Two marinas capable of accommodating yachts up to 150 feet are planned, encouraging visitors from nearby islands to enjoy the resort’s facilities.
Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, says: “We have conceived Rosewood Exuma to offer a next-generation luxury experience – one that honours the quintessential character of this pristine archipelago and invites guests on a journey of discovery and adventure.”
Sustainability is at the forefront of the development plans, with only 25 per cent of the 124-acre island slated for development.
The resort will implement eco-friendly initiatives such as solar-powered energy sources to minimise its environmental impact.
Rosewood Exuma represents a significant addition to the luxury hospitality landscape in the Bahamas and is expected to set new standards for exclusive, environmentally conscious resorts in the Caribbean.
