In a London first, Flexjet has partnered with The Emory to offer helicopter arrival transfers built into the suite experience. Olivia Palamountain reports

The Emory, London’s latest deluxe all-suite hotel, has partnered with private aviation leader Flexjet to offer guests a unique airborne arrival experience.

This collaboration marks the first of its kind for a London hotel, providing complimentary helicopter transfers from the capital’s top private jet terminals as part of the suite package.

The Emory, which opened its doors in May this year, is setting new standards in “discreet luxury”, with its all-suite offering – the first of its kind in London.  Flexjet x The EmoryPart of the Maybourne Hotel Collection, which includes heritage properties such as Claridge’s and The Connaught, The Emory has 61 extraordinary suites spread across nine floors, including a spectacular 300 square metre wraparound glass penthouse.

Guests arriving via private jet at Farnborough, Biggin Hill, Luton or Stansted airports will be whisked away by Flexjet helicopter directly to The London Heliport at Battersea.Flexjet x The Emory From there, The Emory’s house car will transport them to the hotel, ensuring a seamless and luxurious journey from air to suite.

This exclusive service adds to an already impressive list of amenities offered by The Emory.

Flexjet, known for its world-class aircraft selection and custom-designed interiors, will be utilising its UK helicopter fleet for this service.

The fleet features the Sikorsky S-76, capable of carrying up to eight passengers plus two pilots, with a cruising speed of 155 knots per hour and a range of 300 nautical miles.

This partnership builds upon Flexjet’s existing five-year collaboration with The Maybourne Group, which already offers exclusive benefits to Flexjet customers at selected properties in the portfolio.

Coinciding with the 2024 US Open approaches (set to commence on August 26), Equinox Hotel New York has announced a partnership with on-demand aviation company, Blade.

This collaboration aims to elevate the journey to the tournament, quite literally, by offering guests a traffic-free route to the action.

The experience begins at Blade Lounge West, a short walk from Equinox Hotel New York, where attendees will board a helicopter for a brief five-minute flight to LaGuardia Airport.

Upon landing, guests will be whisked away in an SUV to the VIP entrance of the US Open.

The service offers two options: By-The-Seat bookings starting at US$425 or private charters for US$2,450.

This partnership exemplifies the growing trend of high-end hotels offering unique transportation solutions to enhance guest experiences.
