To promote this year’s Dioriviera capsule collection, Dior has turned the pool deck at the Beverly Hills hotel into a shoppable paradise for the summer. Jenny Southan reports
Fashion brand Dior has given the famous outdoor pool area of the Beverly Hills hotel in LA a temporary makeover to promote its new Dioriviera capsule collection in a glamorous new activation.
In situ until September 2023, guests will find surf-inspired cabins on the upper level of the pool deck, as well as cabanas, umbrellas and lounge chairs upholstered in Dior’s new pink and grey Toile de Jouy fabric. At weekends there is a Dior ice cream cart serving scoops of gelato. Also by the pool is an exclusive Dior Le Jardin Des Rêves spa cabana, which offers four signature Dior treatments for the face and body from 10am to 4pm daily (hotel guests only).
Ther are two face treatments: L’or de Vie Miracle Treatment, a 90-minute facial that works in tandem with the L’or de Vie Line; and the 60-minute Dior Prestige Haute Precision using the Dior Prestige line. For the body there is New Look, a 60-minute slimming massage, and Constellation, a 90-minute relaxation treatment. Most importantly for this brand tie-up is a pop-up Dior boutique that is open daily from 9am to 6pm and has interiors inspired by sandcastles. Inside, it sells a Dioriviera capsule collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, with signature Dior skirts, dresses, shorts and swimsuits in the same pink and grey Toile de Jouy fabric. The French flora-and-fauna Dior print can also be found on silk scarves, Lady Dior and Dior Book Tote bags, Dway mules and J’Adior pumps. Also for sale are Dior marinières striped T shirts and branded straw hats, surfboards bearing the “Christian Dior” logo, yoga mats, parasols, beach games, tableware, placemats and embroidered cushions.
The Beverly Hills hotel is part of the Dorchester Collection, which also have the Dorchester in London and the Bel-Air in LA, among other properties.Meanwhile, over in Malaysia, the One and Only Desaru Coast (pictured above) has also partnered with Dior to give its Ember beach club a Dioriviera make-over, along with a branded pop-up café and boutique.
