Alma festival at Six Senses Ibiza promises to be a ‘soul adventure’ that brings people together through modern spirituality. Rose Dykins reports
In November 2022, luxury wellness brand Six Senses will host the inaugural Alma festival at its Ibiza resort – a three-day celebration of spirituality and wellbeing.
Bringing together a community of international thought leaders and talent from across the island, the event will comprise a rich programme of events and workshops, live music, artistic performances and culinary experiences.
Alma attendees will experience art performances, sound healing sessions, psychedelic breathwork, sex talks and performances from local DJs at the festival’s Disco Los Gatos party.
Situated in Ibiza’s idyllic Zarraca Bay to the north of the island, Six Senses Ibiza will host Alma Festival from November 3-6. The idea is for attendees to connect with each other and nourish both their souls and bodies through modern spirituality.
Highlights of the programme include workshops with internationally renowned wellbeing expert Jasmine Hemsley; transformative workouts with Taryn Toomey, founder of The Class; and talks from inspirational people such as Dave Asprey – coined “the father of biohacking”.
Asprey says: “Biohacking is about changing your environment so your body will do what you want. Spirituality, play, community, and even sex are vital elements for you to create a nourishing environment of abundance. I’m honoured to share this precious knowledge during the Alma Festival at Six Senses in Ibiza.”
Alma will also host two pioneers who successfully brought meditation and other personal growth tools online and made them accessible: Michael Smith, CEO of Calm meditation app Calm, and Vishen Lakhiani, CEO of Mindvalley.
Lakhiani says: “I am thrilled to bring my 6 Phase Meditation practice and methodology to Alma Festival attendees so they have the keys to unlock their fullest potential. The 6 Phase Meditation is a radical re-envisioning of meditation for your modern life.
“No matter how busy, prone to a wandering mind, or allergic to the lotus posture you are, the 6 Phase Meditation is suitable for absolutely everyone, with no exceptions. No boredom, special breathing, or ‘clearing your mind’ required.”
To launch Six Senses Ibiza’s first Alma Festival, spiritual guide and mystic Sah D´Simone will host a unique welcome ceremony for guests, setting the tone for the coming days. Alma will continue to foster a sense of community through its programme of fireside chats, sunset ceremonies, workshops and community dinners.
The ideas is for guests inspire each other and share ideas with leading voices in self-development and an eclectic crew of creatives, artists and performers.
The festival will conclude with a closing ceremony at the Beach Caves, Six Senses Ibiza’s newest extension to the resort which launched earlier this year.
With Alma marking the beginning of beginning of Ibiza’s cool season, Ibiza Six Senses is one of few Balearic resorts that is also open during the winter months.
Alma packages include three nights’ full-board accommodation at Six Senses Ibiza, the festival ticket and more. Single occupancy rates start from €1,950, with double occupancy from €2,805. All Alma participants will also receive annual one-time subscriptions to Calm and the Class.
