Brown's Hotel has unveiled the Paul Smith Grand Suite, complete with custom furnishings that express the designer's 'positive take on life'

Brown's Hotel in London has expanded its long-running collaboration with Sir Paul Smith by launching the Paul Smith Grand Suite, a three-bedroom suite designed to offer guests a more intimate experience of the designer's distinctive aesthetic.

Opening in July 2026, the new accommodation builds on the existing Sir Paul Smith Suite by connecting it to two additional bedrooms via a dedicated Paul Smith-designed hallway. The result is a private apartment-style residence within the Rocco Forte hotel, located in London's Mayfair district.Brown's Hotel, Paul Smith suite

The project was developed in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, director of design at Rocco Forte Hotels, extending the original suite's design across the enlarged space. Throughout the residence, guests will find references to Paul Smith's signature use of colour, tailoring and British craftsmanship, including curtains lined with the designer's iconic stripes and tied back using genuine Paul Smith ties. Rugs from The Rug Company's 2026 Paul Smith collection also feature throughout the suite.Brown's Hotel, Paul Smith suite

The interiors showcase work by a number of British artisans. Highlights include hand-painted Signature Stripe porcelain lamps made by Lyngard in Stoke-on-Trent, ceramics by Charlotte Salt and Elaine King and bespoke glassware created by Emsie Sharp and Stewart Hearn. Harris Tweed fabrics have also been incorporated into the design as a reference to Paul Smith's recent fashion collections.Brown's Hotel, Paul Smith suite

The suite also reflects Sir Paul Smith's well-known interest in collecting objects from around the world. English antiques sit alongside vintage Japanese screen prints, while decorative details include a vintage model yacht fitted with sails made from Paul Smith shirt fabrics and cast bronze banana-shaped door handles. According to the hotel, the aim is to create a space that combines the feel of a contemporary Mayfair residence with the service and heritage of one of London's oldest luxury hotels.

Richard Cooke, managing director of Rocco Forte Hotels, UK and Northern Europe, says: "Sir Paul Smith is not just an amazing designer – for us at Brown's he is a dear friend and neighbour. The place is better when Paul is in town with his positive take on life. He has an outlook we can all benefit from."

The collaboration is the latest example of luxury hotels working with fashion designers to create distinctive accommodation that goes beyond traditional interior design. Rather than simply lending a name to a suite, the Paul Smith Grand Suite incorporates the designer's long-standing creative partnerships with British makers and craftspeople, turning the accommodation into a showcase for contemporary British design.
