Easyjet launches ChatGPT plug-in for flight and holiday searches

October 29, 2026

Easyjet has introduced a new ChatGPT integration that allows travellers to search for flights and holidays but they can't book via AI (yet).

After observing a sharp rise in traffic from AI-powered searches, Easyjet has launched a new integration with ChatGPT, enabling travellers to explore flights and holiday packages through conversational searches, with access to live availability and pricing.

Customers can connect to the Easyjet Plugin through the ChatGPT website or mobile app. Once connected, they can search for flights and holidays within their conversations, before being directed to Easyjet's website to complete their bookings.

The integration also allows passengers to check the live status of Easyjet flights without leaving ChatGPT.Easyjet ChatGPT

The launch reflects the growing influence of artificial intelligence on travel planning, as consumers increasingly use conversational platforms to research destinations, compare options and organise trips.

According to a summer 2026 survey of 500 UK adult flyers commissioned by Easyjet, 51% of respondents have already used AI to plan a trip, while a further 17% are considering doing so in the future.

Among those who have used AI for travel planning, ChatGPT was the most popular platform, used by 62% of respondents.

Easyjet's own website data also indicates a shift in how customers discover travel options. Organic traffic from ChatGPT to Easyjet.com for flights has increased by 400% year on year, while referrals to Easyjet Holidays have grown by 125% over the same period.

These figures suggest that AI-powered search is becoming an increasingly significant source of customer traffic for travel companies, alongside traditional search engines and booking platforms.

Ian Chambers, digital director at Easyjet and Easyjet Holidays, says: “We’re always looking at how technology can make travel easier for our customers, from booking through to boarding, and we know more and more people are using AI to discover, research and plan their trips.

"By bringing easyJet flight and package holiday search, as well as live flight information, directly into ChatGPT, we’re making it easier for customers to find the information they need in the places they’re increasingly choosing to search.”

The integration stops short of allowing customers to complete transactions within ChatGPT, with bookings still processed through Easyjet's own websites.

However, it represents a further step towards integrating travel search and booking services into conversational AI platforms, reducing the need for travellers to navigate multiple websites during the research and planning stages.

For Easyjet Holidays, which launched in 2019, the integration provides another distribution channel for its portfolio of more than 10,000 hotels across over 100 destinations in Europe and North Africa.
