Soho Farmhouse Hudson Valley to arrive in 2028
Soho House has announced plans to open Soho Farmhouse Hudson Valley in 2028, marking the brand's first countryside retreat in North America.
Located on a 250-acre former working farm in Rhinebeck, New York, the property will bring the Soho Farmhouse concept to the US following the success of the original site in Oxfordshire, UK. The development will be positioned as a rural escape for members and guests seeking access to nature, wellness experiences and outdoor activities within easy reach of New York City.
The new Soho Farmhouse Hudson Valley will be a 15-minute drive from Rhinecliff train station, providing a convenient route for travellers heading north from the city to explore the Hudson Valley's historic towns and countryside.
Like the UK outpost, it will be bookable by the public (Soho House is best known for being a network of private members' clubs) but Soho House members and Soho Friends can book bedrooms at reduced rates.
The US property will be centred around a collection of restored 19th-century buildings, including a historic manor house containing club spaces and guest accommodation, alongside a large stone barn. Design plans draw inspiration from the surrounding woodlands and the Roycrofters arts and crafts movement, which emerged in New York State during the late 1800s. Natural materials and references to the local landscape will be incorporated throughout the project.

Accommodation will comprise 45 bedrooms and cabins spread across the estate's lawns, woodland areas and manor house. The cabins are expected to follow the style established at Soho Farmhouse Oxfordshire, which has become one of Soho House's best-known destinations since opening in 2015.
Alongside accommodation, Soho Farmhouse Hudson Valley will feature multiple bars and restaurants, creating a social hub for members and overnight guests. Wellness will also be a major focus. Plans include a large Soho Health Club with a spa, outdoor swimming pool and a range of wellbeing facilities. Hiking and biking trails will provide opportunities to explore the surrounding countryside.

The announcement reflects continued demand for hospitality experiences that combine nature, wellness and flexible access from major urban centres. The Hudson Valley has become an increasingly popular destination for New Yorkers seeking short breaks, helped by improved transport connections and growing interest in outdoor recreation. The high-end Wildflower Farms, Auberge Collection, opened in 2022 – paving the paving for more international brands. The One&Only in Hudson Valley is also expected to open in 2028.
For Soho House, the opening represents an expansion of its Farmhouse brand beyond the UK, adapting the countryside club model for a North American audience while retaining many of the features that have made the Oxfordshire property a flagship destination. When it opens in 2028, Soho Farmhouse Hudson Valley will add a new rural option to the Soho House portfolio and further strengthen the Hudson Valley's position as one of the US's leading countryside getaway destinations.
