Dante Mayfair to open permanently at Claridge’s

June 8, 2026

New York restaurant and bar Dante will become a permanent fixture at Claridge’s this summer, bringing its Manhattan-style dining, cocktails and live music to Mayfair.

Claridge’s has announced that Dante Mayfair will open as a permanent restaurant and bar at the hotel in summer 2026.

The move follows Dante’s residency at Claridge’s, which began last year and has now led to a full takeover of the former Claridge’s Restaurant space. Claridge’s Restaurant served its final guests on May 10, 2026, and will reopen in mid-June as Dante Mayfair.

The restaurant will be operated by Dante co-founders Linden Pride and Nathalie Hudson, the New York restaurateurs behind the Greenwich Village venue. Dante was established in 1915 and is known for Italian-Australian food, cocktails and a neighbourhood-style approach to hospitality.

Thomas Kochs, managing director of Claridge’s, says: “We have loved seeing the energy the team at Dante have brought to Claridge’s, and bringing the magic of Manhattan to Mayfair has truly resonated with Londoners. The goal is to make this restaurant the living room of Mayfair, a relaxed spot with great food, wonderful people and, of course, a buzzing atmosphere thanks to Dante’s signature Martini hour, and soulful live music.”

Linden Pride, co-founder of Dante, says: “We are so proud to call Claridge’s, and London, our new home. At Dante Mayfair, we will amp up the volume on our New York roots across design, menu, and music, aiming to bring an impish sense of fun to Davies Street. That sense of a neighbourhood that Dante’s created for decades in New York? Mayfair’s about to feel it!”

Dante Mayfair will add another high-profile food and drink venue to Claridge’s, which is already home to The Foyer, The Fumoir, Claridge’s Bar, The Painter’s Room and Claridge’s Bakery.

The launch also reflects the continued pull of hotel dining in London, where established hospitality brands are using restaurants and bars to attract local guests as well as overnight visitors.
