The Willow Room is a members-only co-working space at Aethos London Shoreditch, featuring 'off-grid' activities such as oyster-tasting alongside day-to-night programming and wellness classes. Olivia Palamountain reports

Aethos London Shoreditch has opened co-working facilities alongside a members-only restaurant, bar, library and terrace, collectively known as The Willow Room.

The Willow Room has been designed to function as collaborative workspace for meetings and quiet work during the day, transforming at night into a hub for community gatherings, intimate music performances and DJs.

The launch follows the opening of the 164-room hotel in October 2025, which took over the former Nobu Hotel building on Willow Street. Prices start from £250 per night.  The Willow Room offers a menu of "off-grid" experiences – curated programming that takes members outside the club walls and into the city. Activities include art tours, oyster sessions, omakase dinners with chefs and cultural events built around four pillars: The Table, The Mix, Wellness Rituals and Off Grid.

The community offers retreats and escapes – "multi-day getaways with purpose" – and members also access a dedicated app for the low down on curated events, matching with like-minded members, and managing bookings.

Benjamin Habbel, co-founder and chief executive of Aethos, says: "The best kind of hospitality doesn't just serve people - it brings them together. With Aethos in Shoreditch, we're creating a space that feels alive, local and deeply personal."Designed by Barcelona-based Astet Studio, the space is flooded with natural light and draws inspiration from Shoreditch's industrial and artisanal heritage. Interiors balance raw, textured materials including terracotta, brushed metals and layered wood with warm, tactile finishes. The design preserves original architectural features such as a terracotta wall, whilst introducing bespoke lighting and handcrafted elements created with local artisans.

A dedicated wellness floor will open in spring 2026, featuring a class studio with a full schedule of classes alongside a recovery area complete with sauna, cold plunge and hot baths.Mitsu, a new Japanese dining concept restaurant, will also launch in spring 2026 at Aethos London Shoreditch, bringing precision, seasonality and bold simplicity to the dining programme.
