Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi has collaborated with Hedley Studios to offer guests the chance to test drive the rare 299 Ferrari Testa Rossa J during their stay. Olivia Palamountain reports

Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi has introduced a rare Ferrari Testa Rossa J to its private island experience, allowing guests to drive the incredible sports car along palm-fringed paths during their stay.

The resort has partnered with Hedley Studios, makers of hand-built classic sports cars, to bring one of only 299 Ferrari Testa Rossa J models in existence to the Maldivian island.

Guests will be invited to test drive the silver Ferrari during their visit and can place custom orders for their own vehicle, starting at US$150,000.

The car will be displayed during seasonal celebrations and exclusive events throughout the year, including "The Ultimate Island Experience" and "Festive Gifting" programmes.

The collaboration represents the latest luxury offering from the resort, which features 117 villas across three interconnected islands plus the Maldives' largest private island with dedicated staff and amenities.

Hedley Studios specialises in creating hand-built classic sports cars that combine performance with collectible art. The Ferrari Testa Rossa J joins other automotive-inspired luxury experiences emerging at high-end resorts worldwide.The partnership aims to enhance the resort's appeal to collectors, connoisseurs and wealtht travellers seeking unique experiences beyond traditional resort activities.

The Ferrari will be integrated into the resort's existing portfolio of premium experiences, which includes 11 dining venues, a spa, and various water sports and diving activities.
