Hilton Milan unveils major hotel renovation

April 29, 2026

Hilton Milan renovation introduces redesigned rooms, lounge and meeting spaces inspired by the city’s Isola district, as the hotel updates its interiors to reflect modern travel expectations.

Eight years after its last major upgrade, Hilton Milan has completed a wide-ranging interior renovation, marking a new phase for the property as it adapts to changing guest expectations. Located on Via Luigi Galvani in Milan, the hotel has introduced redesigned spaces that aim to feel brighter, more comfortable and more in tune with the character of the city.

The Hilton Milan renovation spans both wings of the hotel and includes suites, the Executive Lounge and key shared areas. Guestrooms across all categories have been updated, with Executive Rooms, Suites and Junior Suites undergoing full redesigns. These changes cover sleeping areas, living spaces and bathrooms, alongside updated in-room features. Other guestrooms have also been refreshed to create a more consistent look and feel throughout the property.

The new interiors follow a contemporary design approach, using a mix of colours, textures and lighting to create a more welcoming atmosphere. The concept draws on the influence of Milan’s Isola district, an area known for its recent transformation and creative energy. This reference is reflected in the design choices, which aim to connect the hotel more closely to the city’s evolving identity.

Meeting and events spaces have also been modernised as part of the Hilton Milan renovation. Updates include new carpets, wall finishes and furniture, with a colour palette that combines shades of green and burgundy. These changes are intended to provide a more updated setting for business and social gatherings, supporting the hotel’s role as a venue for corporate travel and events.

Daniele Fabbri, general manager of Hilton Milan, says: "The renovation of Hilton Milan marks a key milestone in our history and in our relationship with the city. This restyling enhances the quality of the spaces and the stay experience, while strengthening our connection to Milan´s identity and creative spirit. Inspired by the vibrant Isola district, the renovation reflects our ambition to remain a benchmark for city hospitality, offering guests a contemporary and authentic experience that truly connects them to Milan."

The project also reflects wider investment across Hilton’s European portfolio. Katharina Schlaipfer, vice president, operations, continental Europe, Hilton, says: "This renovation reflects Hilton’s continued commitment enhancing our portfolio in key European cities. As a flagship property for the market, Hilton Milan plays an important role within our regional portfolio, and this extensive redevelopment ensures the hotel continues to meet the evolving expectations of modern travellers while remaining deeply connected to the character and culture of Milan."

CotoliAMO Bistrot serves a menu based on Milanese and Italian dishes, presented with a modern approach. This forms part of a broader effort to position the hotel as a destination for both visitors and local residents.

Facilities for guests include a fitness centre, Executive Lounge, business centre and meeting rooms. These services are designed to support both business travellers and those visiting the city for leisure, reflecting the mixed demand typical of urban hotels.

With the Hilton Milan renovation now complete, the hotel is repositioning itself within the city’s hospitality landscape. The redesign aims to balance updated interiors with a sense of place, linking the guest experience more closely to Milan’s cultural and urban identity.
