VistaJet x Sturm: the world's first facials in the sky
VistaJet has announced an exclusive partnership with aesthetics expert Dr. Barbara Sturm to offer bespoke facials at 40,000 feet. Olivia Palamountain reports
A collaboration between private aviation company VistaJet and German aesthetics expert Dr. Barbara Sturm has introduced what it claims are the world's first in-flight facial treatments.
Available to members aboard select aircraft, the facial are geared around combating the dehydrating effects of air travel.
All 590 VistaJet cabin hosts worldwide will receive professional training from Dr. Sturm's team on high-altitude skincare, with select hosts qualified to perform facial treatments exclusively on the company's Global 7500 aircraft at certain locations.
"The high-altitude environment presents unique challenges for the skin, from dehydration to increased sensitivity," says Dr. Sturm. "By combining our science-based skincare solutions with VistaJet's unparalleled service, we are setting a new standard for skincare across the globe."
Passengers will also receive a Dr. Barbara Sturm x VistaJet In-Flight Kit, containing six skincare products including a balancing toner, face mask, hyaluronic serum and a lip balm.
The partnership extends beyond the aircraft, with VistaJet members receiving complimentary skin analysis and express facial treatments at Dr. Sturm's spa locations in Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, New York, London and Düsseldorf.Members will also gain access to PRIVÉ, Dr. Sturm's invitation-only membership programme offering personalised skincare consultations and priority access to new products.
Matteo Atti, VistaJet's global chief marketing officer, says the company aims to "provide pioneering solutions that support our members in their fast-paced, global lives" by addressing "the impact of travel on the skin."
The skincare products will also be integrated into VistaJet's Vista House experiences at Formula One and World Endurance Championship events during the racing season.
Dr. Sturm, whose clients include celebrities and business leaders, is known for her anti-inflammatory approach to skincare and molecular cosmetics research.
