In response to increasing demand for premium travel options, Airbus has designed an all-new first class cabin concept for its A350-1000 aircraft.

The "First Class Experience" was showcased at this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo using 3D Augmented Reality (AR) technology, allowing visitors to step virtually inside the proposed cabin design.

The highlight of the new configuration is the first class Master Suite. This centrepiece accommodation, positioned between the aircraft's two aisles in a "1-1-1" layout, is designed for two passengers and includes exclusive access to a dedicated lavatory, changing area, bar and double bed. Airbus first class
To maximise space for this premium offering, Airbus has restructured the floor area between Doors 1 and 2 on the A350-1000. Elements that previously occupied valuable cabin space, such as lavatories and stowage areas, have been relocated to a new Centre Module positioned just behind Doors 1, opposite the cockpit entrance.

The company has also enhanced passenger privacy by moving the access stairs to the Forward Crew Rest Compartment to this new Centre Module, reducing potential disturbances from flight crew movements.

"The large size and high ceilings of the A350-1000 make it the ideal choice for airlines to install their most premium product," the company states. These natural advantages can be further enhanced with "new fascia and sculptured ceiling panels which provide an even greater sense of space, as well as an integrated welcome lighting panel at Doors 1 for extra ambience."Airbus first classAirbus says the purpose of showcasing this design concept using augmented reality technology is to inspire potential airline customers and demonstrate how the new centre module can accommodate a true first class cabin in the A350-1000. The manufacturer also indicated it welcomes feedback from airlines to "further shape and define this vision to create the ultimate first class product."

The concept represents Airbus' latest effort to compete in the ultra-premium segment of commercial aviation, where airlines continue to invest in exclusive experiences for their highest-paying passengers.
