The Montagu Arms debuts classic car escapes
Hampshire's Montagu Arms has unveiled a new stay package that gives petrol heads the chance to explore the New Forest behind the wheel of a vintage vehicle. Olivia Palamountain reports
The Montagu Arms in Beaulieu, Hampshire has launched a "Luxury Classic Car Break", which combines fabulous vintage vehicles with a quintessential countryside retreat.
The road trip package allows visitors to experience winding country roads through ancient woodlands and historic villages, behind the wheel of a choice of classic cars ranging from an Alfa Romeo Spider to a 1966 Ford Mustang.
Guests can select from two tiers of vehicle options. The Core Collection, priced from £411 per room, includes choices such as an Austin Healey Sprite, MGB Roadster, Mini Moke, or Morris Minor Convertible.The Luxe Collection features more prestigious marques and starts from £571 per room. Highlighted motors include the Jaguar E-Type, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, and Morgan 3-Wheeler among others.
Both packages include an overnight stay, dinner allowance of £60 per person at either The Terrace Restaurant or Monty's Inn Pub, continental breakfast, and complimentary tickets to the National Motor Museum. The Luxe Collection additionally includes a copy of Classic Motoring Magazine.The hotel suggests that guests make the most of their classic car experience by taking in local driving routes such as the Rhinefield Ornamental Drive in Brockenhurst, a 4-km loop trail through the forest.
After exploring the countryside, visitors can enjoy dinner at The Terrace restaurant, which serves seasonal produce from the surrounding Hampshire countryside alongside ingredients harvested from the hotel's own kitchen garden.
