Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has announced the addition of ten new members to its prestigious portfolio this spring, expanding its curated collection of luxury and independent properties across the globe.
The carefully selected properties include both newly opened hotels and established destinations, ranging from a beachfront sanctuary in the Turks and Caicos Islands to Alpine retreats in Switzerland.
"These exciting additions to the Leading portfolio reflect the diverse passions of our curious travellers, both in the addition of adventurous, nature-based destinations like Chilean Patagonia and Übersee, as well as culture-rich cities like Maastricht, Lecce and Athens," says Deniz Omurgonulsen, vice president, member experience at LHW.
Among the new openings are The Strand in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, which welcomed guests in November 2024. Overlooking Cooper Jack Bay, the property features beachfront villas and secluded residences designed to blend indoor and outdoor living through mindful architecture and solar integration.
The Beach Club at The Boca Raton in Florida, which opened in January 2025, offers a reimagined oceanfront experience with 221 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, three pools, and amenities including a fitness club and various watersports.
In Europe, new additions include Van Oys Maastricht Retreat in the Netherlands, scheduled to open in March 2025. Emphasising slow travel and sustainable hospitality, the 81-room property sits on the banks of the Maas River near the Limburg Hills, featuring multiple dining venues and a nature spa.
Chiemgauhof Lakeside Retreat in Übersee, Germany, opened in February 2025, showcasing contemporary design by architect Matteo Thun along the shores of Lake Chiemsee. The 28-suite property blends modern comfort with local craftsmanship in a celebration of art, nature and refined luxury.
Athens sees the addition of Anthology of Athens, which opened in autumn 2024. The 18-room hotel embraces biophilic design with vertical gardens and offers fresh, modern-Greek cuisine at its Botany restaurant alongside wellness facilities at the Balaneion Spa.
Other new members include Hotel AWA in Puerto Varas, Chile; Capo d'Orso Thalasso and Spa in Palau, Italy; Patria Palace in Lecce, Italy; Villars Palace in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland; and Grantley Hall in Ripon, England.
