Luxury yacht builder Heesen has announced an optimistic outlook for 2025, with 11 vessels currently under construction and five deliveries scheduled for the year, following a record-breaking revenue year in 2024.
The Dutch shipyard's delivery schedule includes the recently launched 55-metre Solemates, alongside Serena, Orion, Agnetha and Frida. The company's order book extends through to 2027.
Among the most anticipated deliveries is the 50-metre Orion, dubbed Heesen's most sustainable superyacht to date. The aluminium hybrid vessel consumes just 45 litres of fuel per hour at speeds up to 10 knots - a 30% reduction compared to traditional diesel engines of similar size. The yacht also offers near-silent cruising at 46 decibels, equivalent to "soft rainfall".
“2025 is set to be a positive year for Heesen", COO Ruud van der Stroom, tells Globetrender. "Despite global political and economic uncertainties, we are confident that we are remaining agile and responding to our clients’ ever evolving needs.
"One of our key strengths is the Heesen Series, which combines proven hull designs with significantly shorter delivery times, without compromising on the level of customisation our clients value. This model gives us a distinct advantage, enabling us to navigate market uncertainty while maintaining steady production and strong demand."A great example of our Series is 55-metre Agnetha, which is set for delivery in 2025, so an owner can enjoy her on the water this summer. With 11 yachts under construction and five deliveries planned, we are well-positioned for sustained growth and innovation.”
The flagship delivery for early 2025, Solemates, showcases the builder's expertise in crafting customised vessels. The 55-metre steel superyacht features a French balcony in the owner's apartment and a distinctive main staircase adorned with gold flake and crystal-embedded acrylic panels.
All vessels in the current production line-up feature the yard's signature Fast Displacement Hull Form, developed with Van Oossanen Naval Architects, offering transatlantic range capabilities. The 55-metre models can cover 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots, while maintaining access to Mediterranean harbours.
The shipyard's 2025 schedule includes appearances at major boat shows in Dubai, Palm Beach, Monaco and Fort Lauderdale.
