Four Seasons to roll out White Lotus-themed experiences
Four Seasons is set to debut fan experiences inspired by third season of The White Lotus, which was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui and is airing in 2025. Olivia Palamountain reports
Fuelling the "set-jetting" trend, Four Seasons and Max (a global streaming platform from Warner Bros) have announced a global partnership ahead of the third season of HBO's Emmy-winning series The White Lotus, with the luxury hotel group set to transform its international portfolio of properties into "immersive fan experiences" and "activations".
The upcoming season has been filmed at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui in Thailand, following previous instalments shot at the group's properties in Maui and Taormina, Sicily. (Here are some shots from the show…) According to The Hollywood Reporter, themes explored in the new show will be "death, eastern religion and spirituality”.
The Thai resort, which overlooks the Gulf of Thailand, will serve as the backdrop for the show's signature plot twists, featuring pristine beaches bordered by tropical greenery and azure waters. At the moment details of how guests will be able to relive the show for themselves are scant – we can only hope there won't be any deaths IRL.
“Formalising our partnership with HBO and Max marks an exciting milestone in our journey together, embracing a cultural phenomenon that blends exceptional storytelling with the universal love of travel,” says Marc Speichert, executive vice-president and chief commercial officer, for Four Seasons.
He adds: “Mike White and his team have created something truly special. For many Four Seasons guests, especially our pop culture enthusiasts and travel trendsetters, The White Lotus serves as the perfect travel inspiration. After showcasing the beauty of Maui and then our breathtaking Taormina property, we're excited to celebrate Koh Samui in the third season of this beloved show."

Next year, as excitement builds toward the third season, the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village will transform into the world’s first "multi-day activation" inspired by The White Lotus. The 12-acre California property, which recently underwent extensive renovations, features a huge spa and multiple restaurants.
Beyond this marquee event, the partnership will also feature on-site activations at Four Seasons properties globally designed to "engage audiences across multiple touchpoints".
Many Four Seasons properties will offer experiences grounded in the themes of the show’s third season. From dining offerings to wellness activations, Four Seasons will bring The White Lotus to life with elevated moments throughout the guest journey. “The White Lotus has always been about blending authentic beauty and culture with compelling storytelling, which makes our partnership with Four Seasons an ideal fit,” says Pia Barlow, executive vice-president of originals marketing for HBO and Max.
“As we prepare to celebrate season three, Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village provides the perfect backdrop for our global brand partnership and multi-day experience. We’re excited to create unforgettable moments that resonate both on and off the screen.”
