Remedy Place, which bills itself a "social wellness club", has opened its largest location to date in New York's SoHo.
The 7,400-square-foot space on Greene Street marks the brand's third outpost and second in Manhattan, following its Flatiron venue that launched in 2022.
The concept aims to reimagine socialising through the lens of wellness, offering alternatives to traditional bars and restaurants. Among its next-generation offerings, the club features AI-powered massage therapy that allows clients to customise pressure preferences and adjust treatments in real-time.
The facility also houses one of the country's only customisable infrared sauna suites, where guests can alternate between traditional Finnish dry heat and infrared options.
"We're excited to bring our latest club to the heart of Soho. After years of learnings, this is our largest and most elevated club yet," says founder and chief executive Dr Jonathan Leary. "The opening of a second New York City-based location stems from the overwhelming response of New Yorkers at our Flatiron club, meeting the demands of a growing East Coast market and offering a luxury club destination where guests can socialise and connect while prioritising their well-being."
The club's innovative features extend to its therapeutic offerings, including the first full-body FDA-cleared red light bed, which utilises patented technology to support circulation and overall wellbeing. A distinctive assessment suite enables the creation of individualised self-care programmes through movement screenings, VO2 max testing, body scans, and blood work analysis. The venue's design reflects SoHo's artistic heritage, featuring a sculptural tree installation visible through 12-foot windows and a mirror art installation by Boldizar Senteski. The space incorporates sustainable materials, including a biocork sourced from Portugal that has been infused with the brand's signature scent—a custom fragrance developed in collaboration with Bio Alchemy using natural botanical distillates.
Social wellness remains central to the concept, with facilities including a communal sunken living room and a glass-enclosed breathwork ice bath studio.
The club's "Contrast Suite" offers a novel approach to socialising, featuring a traditional sauna and ice bath combination, complete with a mini bar serving healthy refreshments.Founded in 2019, Remedy Place positions itself as the world's first "Social Wellness Club", aiming to revolutionise how people approach both health and socialising. The concept encourages alternatives to traditional social venues, offering experiences such as group ice bath sessions and a meditation cinema where guests can receive vitamin IV treatments while watching films.
The SoHo location also introduces practical innovations in guest comfort, including an advanced changing room system with facilities for drying swimwear, and dedicated spaces for movement therapy and rehabilitation.
This expansion marks a significant development in the luxury wellness sector, as Remedy Place continues to pioneer what it terms "Social Self-Care" – a concept that merges health optimisation with social interaction in a high-end setting.
