Davide Benaglia has designed a sleek superyacht named Hype-R yacht, with features that will appeal to the next-generation of yacht-owners, and modular zones that can be configured for either partying or relaxing.

Benaglia’s Hype-R yacht concept is a 22o-foot vessel with extraordinary features, state-of-the-art technology, and a minimalist exterior inspired by gaming consoles.

The yacht’s flowing lines and curves are also reminiscent of sports cars, which Benaglia says is a strong design influence of his: “particularly the renowned masters who have made history, such as Pininfarina and Giugiaro.”Hype-R Yacht © Davide Benaglia Its exterior is intended to blend in with the oceanscape, strengthening its connection with the natural environment.

A stand-out feature is the onboard beach area that can be concerted into an al fresco cinema, a dance floor or a seated areas to chill, depending on the vibe.

A calming design scheme with soft, modern colours runs throughout the yacht, which has a generous volume of 1,300 GT and a maximum beam of 11.2 metres. Each zone of the vessel serves a specific function.

The main deck has an owner’s suite with a sleek living area, two state rooms and two VIP rooms (sleeping ten guests in total), an in-built poker table, a cosy fireplace for use during cooler seasons at sea, and  a private study so digital nomads to take care of business on land mid-voyage.

The upper deck has a sunset lounge with arched interiors that frame the ocean views. A cool design feature is the futuristic sphere installed between the main and upper deck, creating visual interest and a sense of flow between the different levels of the ship.

The vessel’s high-tech features include a cutting-edge sound system that’s also perfect for onboard parties.

Designed with sustainability in mind, Hype-R yacht is fitted with a Diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system that can reach a top speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, while reducing fuel consumption and emissions, with the vessel’s aerodynamic shape enhancing its ability to glide across the sea.

The production timeline for Hype-R yacht is yet to be announced, but its versatile, new-age design will no doubt capture the interest of young, affluent superyacht shoppers.
