As demand for outdoorsy experiences continues growing, Spanish camping and glamping platform HolaCamp has raised €10 million to expand its technology-driven approach across European markets. Olivia Palamountain reports

Madrid-based company HolaCamp was founded in 2023 and operates 11 campsites across Spain and Portugal, offering accommodation  ranging from traditional camping pitches to luxury glamping tents and bungalows.

HolaCamp distinguishes itself through centralised technology that integrates dynamic pricing algorithms, advanced booking engines and data management systems across its campsite network. The company's mobile application allows guests to make reservations and payments whilst providing access to resort activities, maintenance requests and service ratings during their stays.

It has recently secured €10 million funding from Amavi Capital to modernise campsite management with AI-powered pricing and digital booking systems.

"This investment will bolster plans to drive progress, growth and technological development within the premium camping sector," said Alfonso Leprevost Crucelegui, chief executive of HolaCamp, in a LinkedIn announcement following the funding round.

The company's "Campstories" concept emphasises creating memorable experiences in natural settings, targeting various demographics from romantic getaways to family adventures. Properties typically feature shared facilities including swimming pools, restaurants, shops and water sports access, often located near beaches or within natural landscapes.

Current operations span diverse Spanish locations including Arán Aventura in Lleida, multiple Barcelona-area sites such as Barcelona city, Sitges Garrofer and Sitges Relax, coastal destinations like Palamós in Girona and Gandía in Valencia, plus inland locations including Mequinenza in Zaragoza and Sant Salvador in Tarragona.

Additional Spanish sites include Camino in A Coruña, Chilches in Castellón, and Vall Natura in Girona. In Portugal, the company operates in Albufeira within the Algarve region.
