Until 11:11 hosts numerology-based matchmaking trips

A Singapore-based platform called Until 11:11 is building a niche in the travel sector by combining singles holidays with matchmaking experiences. The company organises small-group overseas trips where participants spend four to six days getting to know each other through a mix of structured activities and informal social time, much like popular destination-based dating TV shows.
Unlike Love Island, however, numerology plays a central role in the concept. The practice uses a person’s birthdate and name to offer insights into personality traits, compatibility and life patterns. This framework is used during trips to guide interactions and encourage deeper connections between participants.
The business takes its name from the number 1111, often referred to as an “angel number” and commonly linked with change or new beginnings. According to co-founder Ching Ling Leo, the idea behind Until 11:11 is to create experiences that focus on transformation as well as social connection.

Ching Ling, a 25-year-old student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, runs the company alongside Ric Ang, a 50-year-old business owner. The pair first met when Ching Ling was an intern at a company where Ric worked. They later began organising numerology-themed singles events in Singapore in 2024.
These local events take place every two to three months and typically host around 30 participants. Activities include compatibility readings, tarot sessions and crystal-making workshops, all designed to give attendees different ways of understanding themselves and others.
Building on this format, Until 11:11 introduced overseas trips in 2025. These trips expand the concept beyond short events, allowing more time for participants to form connections in a travel setting. So far, the company has organised seven group trips, usually with fewer than 20 travellers per group.

Destinations have included Vietnam and East Malaysia, with prices reaching up to S$1,800 per person. Despite the cost, demand has remained steady, suggesting interest in more curated and experience-led forms of group travel.
To manage logistics, Until 11:11 partners with I Quadrant Travel Agency, which handles bookings and on-the-ground arrangements. Trips are planned at least six months in advance to ensure coordination and smooth delivery.
Participant selection is also tightly managed. Prospective travellers must complete an application form and provide a social media profile with a visible photo, along with a short explanation of why they want to join. Organisers then manually review applications and send invitations to selected individuals.

Ching Ling notes that this vetting process is time-consuming, particularly as overseas trips are often scheduled alongside local events. However, the approach allows organisers to shape group dynamics and maintain a consistent experience across each trip.
The model reflects a wider shift towards more curated and purpose-driven travel experiences, where social connection and personal development are built into the itinerary rather than treated as secondary elements.
