Le Meurice, the five-star grande dame in Paris, has launched Suite 1835, a temporary art installation featuring bespoke furniture that gradually illuminates as guests move through the space.

The suite includes a meditation room with a mirrored cube displaying AI-generated content that claims to change based on the energy of people in the room.

The Dorchester Collection property created the temporary suite in collaboration with design label Things From., available from October 8 to December 31, 2025, at €3,850 per night, transforming a traditional palace hotel suite into a "sensory journey".Suite 1835Things From, founded by Parisian fashion consultant and stylist Géraldine Boublil and Jessica Solnicki of Buenos Aires architecture studio Isska, designed furniture that lights up gradually in response to movement, guiding guests through the space. An aluminium carpet serves as the base for integrated light and sound installation whilst maintaining the suite's original architecture.

The adjoining meditation room features a mirrored cube as its centrepiece, displaying AI-generated digital content that the designers claim responds to time and changes based on the energy of individuals within the room. A quadraphonic sound system synchronised with varying light frequencies creates the atmospheric backdrop, with guests sitting on floor mats for guided contemplative meditation sessions.Suite 1835
The suite includes a limited-edition room service menu designed to complement the sensory experience, providing private dining options integrated into the overall concept. Part of the profits will be donated to the en saama school, though specific details about the donation structure or the school's focus have yet to be disclosed.Suite 1835
Things From. was created in 2021 and operates at the intersection of fashion and design, producing furniture entirely handmade in Isska's Buenos Aires workshops using local techniques and materials. The label has previously collaborated with brands including Frette, Krista Kim, Willy Rizzo and Web3 specialist The Sandbox.Suite 1835
The project positions itself at the crossroads of design, digital technology and wellbeing, with Le Meurice framing the installation as embodying the hotel's ability to reinvent itself whilst celebrating heritage.
