In spring 2026, Aman will open Amanvari, an 18-key resort in Mexico's East Cape region of Baja California, marking the group's sixth property in the Americas and Caribbean.

The resort occupies a position where three distinct landscapes converge - beachfront, desert and estuary - along a stretch of untouched coastline. Casitas positioned at elevated heights will offer views across the Sea of Cortéz, Sierra de la Laguna mountains and surrounding terrain.

Aman Residences will include villas positioned on the sand, above with Sea of Cortés views or overlooking a Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course. The branded residences will feature private pools, courtyards, dedicated entrances and 24/7 support from Aman Private Office, alongside services including bespoke adventure planning, in-residence dining and private chef and butler options.

Interiors use sand-hued materials including white concrete, natural stone and tropical hardwoods, with open-air courtyards framing views towards the horizon and mountains. Mexican artisans will provide bespoke ceramics and original artworks for each space, grounding the resort in local craft traditions.

The Aman Spa will feature a contemporary interpretation of a temazcal, a traditional sweat lodge used in Mesoamerican spiritual and healing practices. Additional facilities include Aman's signature Spa Houses, an open-air yoga pavilion and spaces designed for reflection, reflecting what the company terms its "longevity-focused approach."

Dining venues will span Italian and Japanese cuisines alongside Baja regional flavours using seasonal local ingredients. The resort forms part of Costa Palmas, a 1,500-acre private estate on the East Cape encompassing 18 acres of organic orchards and farms, three miles of swimmable beach and a yacht club with deep-water marina.

The East Cape location provides access to snorkelling, diving, hiking and sailing activities in an area where desert landscapes meet the Sea of Cortéz. The region remains less developed than Baja California's better-known Los Cabos area further south, with the East Cape maintaining a reputation for remoteness and limited tourism infrastructure.

Amanvari represents Aman's continued expansion in the Americas following previous openings and a pipeline including Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach and Amancaya in the Bahamas.
