Scenic Luxury Cruises has launched its most ambitious exploration programme yet, introducing voyages to Canada's Hudson Bay and Egypt for the first time whilst expanding its ultra-luxury expedition offerings across all six continents.
The 2027-2028 Worldwide Discoveries Collection spans from October 2026 through March 2028, featuring more than 500 ports across 63 countries aboard the company's Discovery Yachts.
The collection's standout innovation is a 17-day expedition from Greenland to Hudson Bay, culminating in an overnight stay in Churchill - known as the "Polar Bear Capital of the World." This represents the first time Scenic Eclipse will explore Canada's remote Hudson Bay region, offering rare access to pristine Arctic wilderness and wildlife encounters. "For the first time, Scenic Eclipse will explore Canada's Hudson Bay and the storied landscapes of Egypt, two incredible additions that open up entirely new worlds for our guests," says Claudius Docekal, Scenic Group vice president ocean deployment.
Scenic's Antarctica programme offers what it claims is a unique "four-dimensional" exploration approach: guests can experience the continent on water via Zodiac and kayak, on land walking amongst wildlife, underwater in Scenic Neptune submersibles, and from above using onboard helicopters.
Starting in 2026, both Scenic Eclipse Discovery Yachts will be deployed in Antarctica, enabling more frequent departures and helicopter access to remote locations like Snow Hill Island to visit Emperor penguin colonies. The collection introduces new themed experiences including Culinary Voyages showcasing global flavours, Wellness Voyages focused on holistic rejuvenation, and "Broadway at Sea" featuring exclusive performances—an unusual offering in the expedition cruise market.
New Grand Journey combinations of up to 60 nights allow passengers to seamlessly combine itineraries for deeper regional exploration, representing some of the longest continuous luxury expedition voyages available.
The programme also expands Mediterranean offerings into the Eastern Mediterranean with new destinations including Alexandria, Egypt, whilst introducing new Italian itineraries featuring the Aeolian Islands and lesser-known Adriatic destinations.Prices start from £8,576 for a 14-day Chile to Panama voyage, with the premium Greenland to Hudson Bay expedition priced from £17,391. The collection represents Scenic's eighth season operating in Antarctica, building on the company's position in ultra-luxury expedition cruising.
