A remote Icelandic lodge that started life as a sheep farm has become an unlikely magnet for celebrity musicians seeking creative inspiration in one of the world's most atmospheric recording environments.

Eleven Deplar Farm, situated in northern Iceland's Troll Peninsula, houses Flóki Studios - a cutting-edge recording space that combines the latest analogue and digital technology with the raw beauty of ice-sloped mountains and glacial valleys.

The property recently gained attention when Justin Bieber described the hideaway as the "best trip of [his] life" on Instagram, highlighting the growing appeal of nature-based recording experiences among top-tier artists.  Eleven Deplar Farm offers what it describes as "one of the most elevated off-grid experiences in the world," accommodating up to 26 guests across 13 bedrooms. The property combines raw nature with refined Nordic luxury, providing an intimate setting for both professional and personal musical journeys.Flóki Studios is designed to support various creative approaches, allowing guests to record solo, collaborate with in-house experts, or take on the role of executive producer. The facility caters to recording artists who are "continually seeking more intimate and nature-based recording experiences to create music in a more focused and creatively inspiring setting."
The property operates during summer and autumn seasons, from June 5 to October 21, 2025. Rates start from US$4,224 (approximately £3,414) per person per night based on double occupancy, whilst private buyout rates begin at US$61,438 (approximately £49,657) per night for 26 guests.

The inclusive package covers guide services with customised adventure itineraries, all necessary gear for activities, pre-arrival planning with an Eleven Experience Manager, chef-prepared meals, in-room minibar, house beverages and scheduled airport transfers to Akureyri.
