Deskhop is a new app that targets the growing remote workforce in Asia with instant coworking booking capabilities through web and mobile interfaces.
Now live at deskhop.work, it allows users to book desks by the hour or day in partner spaces across Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, paying only for time needed without long-term commitments or subscriptions.
"As a digital nomad and remote worker for over eight years, I've seen firsthand how fast this way of working is expanding," says Andrew Williams, founder of Remote Tribe and deskhop. "Remote work is no longer a niche — it's the future of work. People want freedom and flexibility without the friction of long-term commitments. deskhop was built to give them just that."The launch comes as the Asia-Pacific coworking market experiences significant growth. According to ResearchAndMarkets, Asia's coworking sector is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 15–16% through 2027, driven by the rise of remote work, the gig economy, and demand for more agile workspace solutions.
The platform differentiates itself from traditional coworking brands by eliminating monthly contracts or pre-purchased packages. Users can secure desks in seconds through the app, making it suitable for professionals requiring maximum flexibility whether for client calls, focused work sessions, or ad hoc meetings whilst travelling.Market data supports the demand for such flexibility. A Statista study found that over 28% of full-time employees worldwide now work remotely at least part of the time, whilst hybrid work models are becoming standard for many companies. The global coworking market, valued at $16.8 billion in 2023, is projected to reach US$24 billion by 2028.
Deskhop operates under the Remote Tribe umbrella as an extension of Remote Tribe's mission to empower the location-independent workforce. The company is continuously expanding its network of partner coworking spaces, starting with key locations across Southeast Asia.
